There's always constructive critisism. If you say something that will be interpreted as stupid it would behoove oneself to take the well intentioned negativity and learn. If the alternative is to coddle the incorrect to save their feelings he would continue to present himself incorrectly among us, or worse use the anti coined phrases like high powered sniper rifles and that crap to people that don't know better. In the future, I doubt he will use terms I'd expect to hear on CBC. It doesn't seem he is offended but others are. No need to be dickish guys, but both sides.

to all you smarty pants.....

Full power cartridge is a term I picked up reading Jeff Cooper..to him it meant NOT an intermediate cartridge like 223(you can wiki that one if you want) But you guys prolly know more about guns/are more tactical extreme than Jeff Cooper.

This thread has been on the receiving end of a full power dump but is interesting.

so what do we call intermediate and full power cartridges then gentlemen? You're not gonna name something because of something you heard on CBC...And I thought the antis were silly with their obsession over stupid terms.

Yeah, I guess it has been a long, boring night as the comment seems a bit picky and angy for no real reason.

nailed it. As the "flamee" I dont feel hurt but somethings definitely up with the dealer guy and someone else that jumped at the chance to get bitter whether or not full power is a term even though Jeff Cooper used it....

People maybe having a bad day OR- Maybe the anti-gun stuff is getting to these guys and they're boiling over a bit over the use of terms?

Not me though- Id never say anything careless and mean on the internet.....;):p

SVT40!! Cheap "full power" semi auto. I'm partial to the RFB.

I just don't know where to buy the regular capacity pinned "clips" for them.

I agree. What does that mean?

If I gave this guy my name and address he would come over and talk to me?

I would guess that the meaning of that saying is that people conduct them self different face to face than they do anonymously. Easy to run ones mouth if the guy you are mouthing cant physically lay a beating on you kinda thing. That's my interpretation anyway. When I say "you" I don't actually mean you personally rivetc78

Problem with that argument of yours is that a criminal charge will lead you to loose all of your firearms, something that the law abiding citizens that we all are (as we all own firearms here - well I hope we do) and don't have, a criminal record that is.

True true, but that is how things like that end. Not many folks press charges, diff if cops show up tho. That was more of a response to a question rather than an argument. I would bet most members have been in a fight and have a clean record same as mine. I have had 2 downtown London when in my 20's and drunk as hell at the time, both broke up by London police. Never been charged. You dont need or have to agree but be realistic. Some times tempers flare and chit happens
