so far i have found that the Ruger 10-22 is not what I expected since it is round and brand specific equals or next to junk. If a 22LR has to have one type of round to make it work right IMHO goes to scrap metal!
Mossberg 715T is a plastic covered piece of scrap metal equals more Junk. Plastic cover Scrap metal.
S&W 15-22 is a Restricted hole punch! No good in Canada except on a Range: more over priced scrap metal.
ISSC MK 22 has door hinge on the stock..pass!
is there anything out there be sides KEL-TEC SU-22CA....i have not found a KEL-TEC SU-22E which is a different stock.....or are there any others out there that are similar to the ones described here?
Does anyone know of a semi auto in an aggresive style that is NON restricted?

I love my GSG StG44. Very accurate, and NOT picky on ammo. Some guys ##### about the pot-metal frame, but it's not like I'm taking it to the Eastern Front! I like the historical style and full rifle weight.

Marlin 795! Its the best semi 22lr in my opinion. It worked with what ever cheap ammo I put in it. Could hit targets 100m out. Its light weight. Its as reliable as a semi 22lr can be. Has last shot hold open. It is easily scope-able. Very good price.

Can't say enough good about it. The only issue is that accessories are minimal at best. But magazines can be found at Cabela's. Maybe not the 25 rounders but those also legally exist.

I like the CZ 512 with wood stock..... its similar to a 10/22 but way smoother and more refined. With a little bushnell red dot and extended mag the thing is a powerhouse. Adults and kids alike can handle it with ease as it somehow fits everyone.

Honourable mention to the GSG15 which is a totally different set up but is one fine shooter as well. I'd recommend both highly. The GSG comes second because some people have had jamming issues, mine runs flawless after the first couple of jammer magazines with Remington ammo in them..... any other brand I have tried cycles perfectly, it eats Federal 525 bulk like a champ.

Ruger 10/22 modular takedown with timney custom trigger installed.
Bushnell AR22 2-7x32mm scope with target turrets, BDC, parallax adjustment.
1 ragged hole groups at 50 yds all day long with 36 grain CCI Mini Mag hps.

"Best" in a money-no-object scenario is probably a European gun of some kind. I have no experience with them so I can't comment. For affordable American iron your best bet is probably the Marlin 795. I like my Remington 597 but it also does not feed some brands of ammo. Luckily it loves American Eagle 40gr and Federal Auto Match 40gr, both of which are cheap, decently accurate, and good at killing grouse and rabbits.

Ruger 10/22 or as mentioned earlier Savage 64. Cant go wrong with either.

Both have tons of aftermarket parts and are easy to find new or used.
