A 10/22 was won in the 80's but it was sold without firing a shot.
Would not buy one unless it had a maple/walnut stock.
Bought a rifle that was advertised as walnut but on registration it came back as birch.
Bought a carbine guaranteed as walnut and cannot tell the difference.
The trigger on the rifle was replaced with a Timney which cut the pull to three pounds.
Worked the trigger on the carbine down to 3.5 pounds but on testing found it wanted to double tap. Tested using two rounds and once was enough.
Ordered the KIDD trigger kit from Dlask and still waiting.
Neither 10/22 has had a FTF or FTE using CCI SV, Blazer, Thunderbolt, AE 40 gr. or CCI MiniMags.
Put a Weaver T36 on the rifle and with Federal Match 922A at 100 yards, the best group measured 0.52 c-c and the average for 5 five shot groups was 1.10".
Time to sell something and it will probably be the H&R 5200 with the Palma sight . . . I have had my fun with it out to 200 yards!
