OK Don't jump on me until I state my case.
I want to purchase a handgun.
Up till now I have only used long guns.
Unfortunately I am on a very tight budget(I mean very tighttttt!)
I know that a lot of you don't like Norinco products. I have two Norinco long guns and both have served me well so I am willing to try them again.

My options are basically a cheap Norinco pistol or no pistol at all.:(
I am thinking about the Sig copy, anybody have any experience with these.

Unless you guys have some other suggestions that are in that price range or only slightly above.

Thanks guys

PS I am sure this has been covered lots of times but my search did not turn up the info I was looking for.

My vote goes to the Norinco NP-29.
Bought it off a fellow gunnutz. He'll like them enough to have a few.
Grabbed it for a good price....can get mags at Marstar...$25 each

i bought a norinco np-22 for the same reason for my first i have about 4000rd through it now without any jams or failures you'll want to replace the grips the plastic ones that come with them are horrible and you can field strip the thing and re-assemble it blind folded

Like above, NP-29's the way to go.

Hope you're patient, they're hard to come by from Marstar lately. I got mine from a fellow CGN'r and haven't had a problem yet.

As they said and the reason behind the NP 29 because it is a 1911 , proven design, you can get parts easily. NZ85B is a CZ copy, proven design and they are all steel.

Go with the NP-22 sig copy; mine has been nothing but excellent for the money. As mentioned before tho, you really do need to swap out the grips for some rubber hogue's. Here is a pic of mine:

Best 9mm Norc

I've got both a NP 28 and 29, I like them both but based on supply of parts ie magazines and extended triggers I would go with the 29. Also if you want to flog it down the line there is always some one who will take it off your hands.
