Best NR right now!

Don't forget the 9mm PCC options.

CZ Scorpion is awesome except for the 5-round mags.

Sig MCX if money is no issue is a great option.

KelTec Sub2000 Gen 2 is surprisingly good. Don't be turned off by the plastic, it's actually better plastic than on the $2000 Benelli MR1.

Beretta CX4 Storm is so close to being amazing but the trigger ruins it. Even the Sierra Papa kit wasn't enough to make me keep mine.

Lots of AR-like platforms like the Just Right Carbine.

Ruger PC 9mm is another new one, but I won't buy one until Magpul makes the cool 10/22-like stock for it.

Chiappa M1 9mm would be a cool option except the screwed is up by making the magazine insert straight up, which causes lots of stoppages.

U experienced a problem with the plastic on the MR1 ???

Not a problem with it, so much as that it looks like cheap dollar store plastic.

For example, the plastic on a Glock looks average, on a Walther it looks great, and on a Ruger SR9 it looks cheap.

I'd had a Benelli SuperNova before, and I loved it, so I felt very confident ordering the Benelli MR1 when I was looking for a high quality NR black rifle.

When I opened the box, I was extremely disapointed at the look and feel of the plastic. I can't say there was anything mechanically wrong with it, but it looked like the kind of cheap plastic you'd find on a $300 combo rifle that comes with a scope, not anything close to a $2000 rifle.

I still can't understand it, because the quality of a SuperNova was amazing at half the price. Everything you touch on that feels like soft touch rubber in comparison, but the MR1 is cheap slippery plastic.
