Well the season is upon us and I got to thinking about some of the hunting stories I've heard. I know fish stories have a tendency to wander beyond the realm of true but I've heard a few hunting woppers.
A few years back I was at the range, there was an older gent there wandering around talking to anyone who would listen.
"What are you doing"
"Uh" (Well, lets face it, when you're sighting in @ a range, what you are doing should be self explanatory.)
"You zeroing @ 100 yds?"
"No, I'm 3" high @ 100."
"I don't ever shoot past 50."
"Thats nice."
"I shoot my Elk when they are asleep."
"Well done."
"Elk are always bedded down until just after sunrise so I stalk in and shoot them first thing."
"That's great."
"I've shot over 50 Elk this way."
"Sounds like you've got it all figured out."
"You need to learn how to stalk, instead of trying to kill them long distance."
"Ok."
Lets hear them.
