not everyone's eyes love an aimpoint.

I'll just add…not everyone's eye sees red dots clearly. I don't use RD's for this reason…..
Most of my AR shooting is inside 100yrds so its "old-school" irons for me.

This is what I'm planning to do as well. I'm actually studying a rapid techniques of using them for CQ lately. Soon I'll see how all that works for me. Important note: if you are using a red dot, don't focus on the dot itself, look thru it and focus your vision on the target.
