CZ's hold their value well as used rifles but the 452's might have an edge in this regards since they are dicontinued on the manufacturing level now. On the other hand you won't see their prices sky rocket or anything crazy like that since they made tens of thousands of them over the years. I do know that a lot of 452 owners poo-pawed the 455's without really even trying them out. I guess this is a defensive measure (financially)to try and protect the value of their older model....after all, what can be worse than a new improved model coming out and placing the old one in its shadow....something that I am sure will be more evident given some time.
Their have been instances where cost cutting measures or design changes reflecting them have ended up putting a new model out that is inferior for some reason to an old one. I don't see this as being the case with the 455's.
