Hi there,

It seems in my stupidity I made a little notch in the crown of the barrel on my BHP. This really pisses me off, however, she's me favorite pistol and I was always considering getting an upgraded barrel for her. I've never bought an aftermarket barrel before so i dont know what brands i should go with and where the best place to buy them would be. Any help would be appreciated :)

Cheerz,

P.S. The barrel in question is 9mm :)

Post a pic it may not be as bad as you think. You might be able to send it to a smith and get him to clean it up. I've touched up a few barrels that people thought were right offs with good results.

I am defiantly going to send it off to have it looked at and fixed :D I have been wanting to put an upgraded barrel in her for a while now and figured this would be a good time. Ill drop you a pm regarding my barrel :D Thanks alot .

I think I damaged it while using a patch rod. While trying to scrub it up and make it ultra shinem in my rather quick motions I think I came in contact wi the edeg of the crown.

Marstar only has the OEM barrels I think, Im looking for an upgraded barel. Bar-sto, Bul barrel, dunno barrell, etc.. lol I dont know much about aftermarket barells or which one people have had the most succes with.

Jose at zefarm dot com has two listed in his parts column. Pricey at $120 and $200. Without going to the dealer for an original, or importing one from the US, you're at the mercy of the resellers.

But maybe that is the fair price for stupidity (so RDevigne you brought it up .... we'll just keep reminding you).

That's pretty much what i was prepared for prce wise, But i looking for an upgraded barrel not an original. If all thats available is original then i wont even bother buying one. Im sending my current barrel to a fellow CGN'r and he'll repair the crown. :D

As far as reminding me of my stupidity, have at her. I never make the same mistake twice. I will make other mistakes, but never the same one ;)
