Hey everyone! I've just acquired an '88 870 Express but I'm going to need a few things to take it from deer gun to range shotgun. The stock has a crack in it and the 28" barrel is a tad long for a "fun gun". Anyone know where I should be searching the internet for Canadian available parts to this gun? I'd be looking for:

- Stock, preferably adjustable so my wife can shoot comfortably as well
- Mag extender
- 18"ish barrel to lighten up the beast for the lady and looks

The lack of a recoil reducing pad is also getting me down, the thing kicks like a mule, even when compared to my 45-70. I think Remington just painted a piece of stone black and mounted it to the butt on this thing.

I want to enjoy this gun but I don't think that's going to be possible until I get this thing modified from it's current self.

Thanks fellas! :D

Strangely it had dawned on me to check the EE but I'd just rather pay retail and know what I'm getting is what I want. Sadly prices for used goods usually rivals new retail anyway minus the tax of course on our dear exchange. I'm just stating the obvious so no need to flame btw.

Oddly, I have found that 870 parts are the exception to the "pay retail' rule on the EE. Not sure why, but every other category is 'pay retail', and 870 stuff is often (but not always) reasonable. I recently picked up a barrel (now enroute) and a stock set (delivered) and both were OK deals for used. YMMV of course.
