Just picked one up for some close range plinking and messing around... I've had finicky .22's in the past just wondering whose had good results with which ammo and the source of it

Cheers

Mine eats the Blazer 525 bulk pack stuff just fine. For a special treat I will feed it some Mini Mags and the accuracy does improve, but it's a plinker and it runs just fine on plinker ammo.

Hi shaolin555,
I shoot nothing but fed bulk .22 brought mine, broke it in with cci mini mags, polished the feed ramp....... Shoots anything I put in it now..... Done around 8500 rounds! ....
Import

I have shot 10 boxes of Fed 525 value packs (I know this is an accurate count as I keep the empty boxes (don't ask)) and 5 or so, more boxes of Win 333 thu mine.

I prefer the Fed 525, and have ordered a case from Henry @ Budget. Also worked well in my 10/22.... which come to the think of it , I gave to my son.....Hmmm

I tried the Blazers on a new GSG, I average one FTE or FTF per mag...no issues with mini mags at all. I only have about 400 rounds thru it yet, so we'll see what it likes when it's worn in.

Blazers work perfectly in my GSG. Cheaper than minimags for me. Try Blazers, if they don't work, then switch to minimags.

Blazer Brass for me as well. I've heard the Federal Champion 525 blue box is good too but I haven't tried myself yet. That's all the .22 I could find so I'll find out soon enough.

mine wont take winchester, federal or american eagle (hv or not). Broken in with over 2000 rounds down range and so far blazer is the only ammo for me. Not ONE issue.

I broke-in my Sig1911-22 with CCI HV and now shoot the cheaper Win555/333's thru it with little issue. Mine's not a target pistol so performance to me is that it just function with little hic-ups.
The only time when I start getting feed issues is after about 200rnds. A quick brush and wipe of the feed ramp and all's well until I get it home for a thorough cleaning.

looks like these GSG's will eat almost anything. its always a good idea to run several hundered highspeed through it first then it should smooth out and digest almost anything you feed it. shoot er lots and have fun

My household has 4 different brains of rim fire pistols and rifles.

Ive tried various stuff, but cii mini mags have always worked flawlessly through them all.
Its all I ever buy anymore.
