were would you guys say is the best area for all around animals like the widest range of species and the least human interaction.I want to find a place to go to hunt/sight see and want to go were there is a very wide range of animals and a very low amount of human activity but it has to be accesible by vehicle like no fly in.don't care if I have to walk in but I can't a ford a fly in for what i want to do

I hunt quite often around Hushush Mountain and Zipperlip Creek there aren't many people and tons of game. Usually if there is game there are people in hunting season. The further you go from big centers the fewer people you will see. Do your research and pick a spot.

Wide range of species eh? Likely the best advice is go North if you want to include moose and elk. The Peace Region is where its at, but you will have to do your leg work, the best hunting will be on private land ( and bordering crown). If you are after white tails and private land hunting is not for you then the Swan Hills or the 500 zones east of Slave Lake are a good bet too. IMHO I wouldn't waste a lot of time in the mid/lower foothills unless you are hunting whitetails. That's about as far as I'm going to narrow it down for you. As for Zipperlip Creek, I wouldn't bother. There was this bunch of guys in there last year with a reefer truck...and the wolves were bad too!

No place like that in Alberta.

Try over the mountains in B.C.;)

sorry guys I was just asking.I would like to watch/hunt other species of animals than we have here.I was just wondering because lots of places I have seen in the mountains there is nothing but trees for a long long ways.now see if someone asked me were a good hunting spot around here was i would tell them to come on down there is plenty of room on my land for people who have never hunted big whites or mules.I would on the otherhand tell them that they can only hunt on the land when I am there with them.I think it is kinf of strange how people get so protective of there spots they hord the good spots from the people who help the sport.I spend every spare moment outdoors or hunting.I leave bush on the land because I like having animals.I have not filled in sloughes and lowspots like everyone else because I like birds.when i hunt an area I leave it the way I found it.now I never would have done any of this if I didn't have an apreciation for hunting/animals.and if when i first started hunting every person that I asked had said"find your own land kid this is ours"or "sorry son no room here"or "to many people hunt why should you"if that had happened I would probably have dropped that right away and any land I bought would have been made more productive but less nature friendly.now imagine if every land owner who has saved there land for other peoples enjoyment had came accross a bunch of asses that treat a nother hunter as a threat.they would have lost there beginer joy of the outdoors and made more productive farms.if that had happened.were would all you guys hunt or does everyone who posted negativly to me only hunt on there own land?I know I don't I hunt on others land and they hunt on mine.sorry again for asking.this sport has changed and so has my out look on this community here.

I just read this post and I am pretty sure you dont know all that much about hunting.

People spend many years finding a sweet honey hole. I know myself I have looked all my life for the places I hunt now. And now you expect people to just give you directions on how to get there, and over the internet which is even more absurd.

Sorry bud, but I have seen places completely ruined for "good" hunting and a big part of that was due to the internet. People dont have to work hard or explore anymore, all they have to do is search the net, its all there if you know where to look.

Sorry again, but you wont be seeing me post directions on where there is good hunting over the internet.

Go and explore.......

so I should jump in my truck and drive 5 hours just to see were I might be able to hunt?I was not asking for directions but just a general idea of were i would see lots of diff animals?who are you to say i don't know much about hunting?you have no clue.come down here and we can go spend a week on my land or anywere around here.I will teach you things you never knew.I will show you things you have never seen.it would blow your mind.I spend every day in the country I put manymiles on in the bush every week.I get closer to many animals that most city people ever thought possible.I engoy nature to its fullest and just because I don't belive in being greedy with what god created for all of us.I don't know about hunting?keep your sweet honey hole.guess I should not let people hunt on my land because there are animals there and I don't want anyone to see them besides me

because I know the area around here I shouldn't have to ask were I would find elk or cougars bears or anything?I know THIS area I know those animals arn't here.this topic should be closed there is no help just a buch of ignorant useless comments.

Most of the enjoyment comes from exploring and finding a nice spot yourself. Remote means fly-in. No people means fly-in.

Asking to be directed to a foot/machine accessible "sweet spot" for all types of game is asking alot.

It's kinda like asking a fella if his wife is good in bed. Some things ya just don't do.

No one is hacking on ya "impala"..........it's just the boys' nice way of encouraging you to go out and explore and find your spot like the rest of us.....and tell us later how much fun you had doing it.

and no, we won't ask you where it is.......we will just be happy that you went out and did it.

Good luck out there.

ok do you guys remember the old hunters training books?you know the little maps that show were the animals are in the shaded area?does anyone know were they would come together like were the most would overlap?or if that is to private does anyone have those shaded maps?I know they arn't very accurate but at this point it looks like the best i can hope for

Everyone would like to find the place that you describe, but to find a variety of game in good numbers in a place that is easily accessed without hunting pressure,is a tall order indeed.
