I am currently rebuilding a norinco 1911. My plan is to only keep the slide and receiver and replace everything else with some higher quality parts. My questions are, where to find parts? What parts best fit the norinco's as well as can I buy a complete package of the internal parts I need instead of shopping around and buying piece by piece? So far I have found brownells to be the best place, followed by marstar. But I would really just like to be able to buy a Springfield or colt "kit". Any info and/input is appreciated!

Regards, John

Buying a "kit" would likely cost as much or more than a gun. If you replace certain key parts you should be in the same ball park.
Brownells seems to be best overall.

I do not know what fits best norinco, but can share the following.
I purchase grips directly from techwearusa
SVI internals from CRAFM (cgn sponsor)
STI internals, springs and sights from Freedom Ventures
Lots of extra stuff and golden service from DoubleTapSports
Murray Gardner is also very helpfull and has a few 1911 parts
Mags directly from Tripp Cobras website
Small parts when lost in a pinch Marstar can get you out of trouble
Finally, some of the stuff i really love (aggrsive MSH, extended mag catch etc..) i cant find Canadian side, Brownells

Petty much sum it up.
