Best place to buy SKS?

I'm thinking it's time for me to get a knockaround rifle and the SKS seems to be the cheapest way to satisfy my new gun craving. I don't know a heck of a lot about them but I see that marstar has them for under $200. Is there any place cheaper than that? I thought that was pretty good but like I said I don't know much about these rifles so maybe the Marstars aren't a good deal. As long as the rifle shoots somewhat straight and functions good I think I'll be happy. Is there any feature's I should be looking for,like detachable mags or something? The closest place I know of that sells them is Milarm in Edmonton but I don't go there very often so figured I'd buy online.
Thought about going on the EE but for some reason it won't let me in there again and I'm tired of mucking around with it.
 
I bought mine from a local shop here in lethbridge (Marksman). I didn't know anything about them at the time, but luckily he brought a number Russian models in and I got stuck with a Russian 1952 Tula, which has been great. A friend of mine bought one as well, and it has also been a good rifle. If you can find one or have someone look for you in the equiptment exchange on here I would recommend one of those.

Also to credit CanadianAR, the ones MARSTAR sells are supposed to be the best bang for buck you can get, that I know of.

You can get black bolt Russian refurbs here for $159 and Light refurb to unissued Russians for $169.

I have been looking around and see alot of great prices... For alot of different sks's.
Different countries, different stocks, different conditions.
Now I know there is a thread with alot of info about all of them but it's hard pull the info out that your looking for. (for me at the moment)
I'm looking for a sks that has pretty solid tight internals. Nothing too sloppy. Don't care about the stock as I planning on replacing it anyways.
Where/ who should I be going to for that?
 
Gonzo Sleeper; If your going to adapt the sks anyway,I would prompt you to find a military Chinese rifle. They're not refurbished,but rather brand new never issued from the 1960's. The stocks aren't nice to begin with{and i'm told they're better than the commercial ones!} but the rifle is tight,brand new in cosmo,years of great shooting fun:D
Stay away from the ones with chinese characters stamped on the barrel,they're the commercial ones. The ones you would want aside from serial#'s only have a triangle with arsenal # stamped inside.these are PRA. Currton has a great write-up here,tons of info.:D
