I would start to worry about round count in a SA at about 50 000 or so... Doubt there are more than 2 in Canada that have that round count. They are a workhouse that won't give a cr*p about a few crates of ammo. Like good wine, they'll only get better.
A barrel will burn out MUCH sooner then 50,000 rounds tho!!!
2.2 Extended service life / Functional safety
- Experience indicates that depending on the grade of ammunition used, the barrel has to be changed after approx. 20000 up to 30000 rounds have been fired.
-15000 rounds for wearing parts of the bolt assembly are quite feasible: other small components will last for anything up to 30000 rounds.
-Major components such as trigger housing, bolt, receiver, plastic parts, the main components of the trigger action may readily be expected to withstand 40000 rounds.
-We have weapons at our plant which have major components still fully functional after firing 80000 up to 100000 rounds.

$4000 new, or $2800-$3000 on the EE, so for me, the EE is a no brainer. Some of these rifles being sold these days have been fired less than a hundred times. I don't understand why people interested in a Swiss Rifle are so worried about a couple thousand rounds? The barrel life on a these things is an absolute minimum 15000 rounds.
(I dunno the round count on this one but c'mon $2850 Shipped is hard to beat for any Swiss Rig, check it out,

I suppose if you must buy new, I would shop at Wolverine too, they are cheaper than everyone else in Canada, I priced one a while back, I believe after taxes and shipping it came out to $3870 or something around there.
