Best place to find strong 1911 springs?

I'm looking for 18-30lb springs. Has anyone gone through the search and can help me narrow down my options?

I can't picture in my mind a cartridge capable of being safely fired in a 1911 pistol. That could possibly require a 30# recoil spring??

Alright. 28lb. I'm having difficulty finding heavy springs on Brownells. Wolff looks like a good bet. Anyone know of any heavy progressive springs?

Btw I'm considering my options for 45 super/450 SMC or 45-08

All things being equal, I might just go with 10mm and forego modifying a 1911. I just wish there was a store around here that had g20's and 40's in stock so I could try them on for size.

Just remember that the 28# XP spring will slam the slide forward that much harder. Hard on the slide and frame.

I load for the .45-08 in a 1911.
The fellow that developed the .45-08 cartridge, recommends a 20-22 Lb spring and a .002 Red Shock-Buff.
I am happy with 20 Lb spring in my gun.
