Hey folks,

After an "incident" involving a canoe, a hunting dog, and an 870 express I'm in the market for a new wingmaster (don't worry, the canoe and the dog made it out fine). I've made a few calls and it seems everyone is out of stock--but can get them in with the dreaded 6-18 month wait times.

Any of you know of a place that has them in stock in AB? I know Epps has some Trap models--but I think a plain Jane wingmaster is really all I need.

All insight appreciated.

Al Simmons has them but he wants something like $850 for it. Not really willing to pay an extra $100 or so...

Thats exactly where i found mine. I didnt inspect it that well since it was brand new, but the stock limbsaver wasent put on that well.

I would avoid cabellas if i were you. Thats not my only incident from that store. Ive purchased 3 firearms from them. The wingmaster was the 2nd one. The 3rd and last one was a defective s&w 629 that after 25 rounds at the range the barrel, cylinder and frame were no longer aligned. Cabelas refused to honor their defect policy and their "gunsmith" (that required me to get a new short term authorization to transport back there even though my LTATT covers real gunsmiths) blamed me for damaging it. I sent it to S&W over in bc on my own dime. Their rep there told me it was factory defective and it is currently being repaired.

Be careful when buying there.
