I have been using H110 for the 44 Mag loads being shot in my S&W 629. I previously used W296 (as that is what I was using for 300 Blackout), but my local supply ran out. IMR4227 didn't yield the accuracy I was looking for and tended to produce higher ES and SD numbers.
The Hunting load in my Marlin 1894 is a 240gn XTP over 24.5gn H110, approx. 1830fps MV, Hornady #10 Data.
It's a real handful in my 6" 629, I'm not real fast getting back on target for a follow up shot.
I usually back off the 629's load to 23.5gn H110 c/w Hornady 240gn XTP, I find shooting this load it's a lot easier and faster to get back on target for follow up shots.
I use H110 exclusively with jacketed bullets. Hodgdon On-Line lists no data for Cast Bullets & H110 until your using 300gn plus Gas Checked bullets.
I shoot 200-240gn cast using either TrailBoss or Universal.
To conserve my 'hunting' quality jacketed bullets and to get in some trigger time, I use Campro's 240gn bullet c/w 23.5gn H110.
