Best powder for slugs

Hey all. I ordered the sabots to load 44 cal. boolits into 20 gauge slugs and 50 cal into 12 gauge. Now I need a powder that would be useable in both. I don't want to do a whole bunch of load development, just something shootable with reasonable accuracy. Any suggestions?

HS-6 seems to be used a lot with 20 gauge slugs but I have no first hand experience

I suggest you find a new hobby! Kidding. Reloading is usually about load development but in the case of shotguns it really is more about sticking with published data. Hodgdon has a great shotgun load database. I'd search there for similar published loads under the same Hull and weight shot as your Slugs.

I use HS6 a lot with my 12 ga 1 oz loads.
