I have an older progressive (ProJector) press that I want to set up for reloading handgun ammunition (9mm, 38 Spl, etc.). What kind of powder measure should I consider? I have an older RCBS measure, but it only has the large (rifle) dispenser. Is it worth buying the handgun dispenser, or perhaps one of those micrometer gauges that replace the conventional adjustment system?

I don't anticipate reloading much rifle ammo on this, but want something accurate with the smaller powder charges.

I look forward to comments.
Thanks!

Is it Hornady LNL AP ProJector? Get their Case Activiated Powder Drop SKU: 050073 and Pistol Rotor & Metering Assy SKU: 050128. They are gonna speed up whole process and be very accurate. Try Cabelas or other stores localy and compare prices and such.

Also, if you have issues with ejection, get their Lock-N-Load™ AP™ EZ-Ject Conversion Kit SKU: 095207 - it's only $30 and is worth every penny!! Just make sure your press has serial number of 7000 or greater.

I personally really like the Lyman measures as they are extremely accurate with small charges of powder but I don't know how it will work on your progressive.

I'm with CeeZer. I like the Hornady powder measure. I have used Lee and RCBS and prefer the Hornady. Those quick detach inserts are fast, cheap and easy.

Oh maybe thats me that is cheap, easy and can be tricked?
