Best powder scales

I bought a fairly cheap digital scale on Ebay that measures to .02 of a grain (which is around one kernel of small extruded or three kernels of ball) and as long as the furnace isn't running and my cell phone is in the other room, it's great. It makes my Hornady digital scale look bad.

I have a Chargemaster Lite on the way from Natchezs but I’m curious about the scale you have. If you have anymore details I would like to look it up.

I have 2 Lee safety scales. Never had an issue with either of them, but they are limited to what they can weight. I bought one of those cheapie digital scales and a check weight that I had a buddy at an assay lab verify. I use it to weigh loaded rounds - anything way off would signal an issue with the load. I also use it to verify weights of cast boolits. The Lee and the electronic scale are both very, very close to each other. When I load for accuracy, I throw powder with the Lee measure, and weigh each charge, trickling as needed.

Thanks for all the responses. I should have provided more info. I am reloading for rifle to use mainly for hunting. I am looking to a quality scale to do the job not the best of the best.

Some of you are using non-reloading scales that give weight in grams. Are you not concerned about making a conversion error? or do you just always work in grams?

I am starting to move away from the idea of purchasing a kit. It seems that there is always a few components that need to be replaced. this reduces the cost effectiveness.

Right now I am thinking of getting the following components:
Lee classic cast single stage press
Lee precision perfect powder measure
Lee ultimate rifle die set (6.5 CM)
RCBS 505 or 1010 scale
Federal primers
hornady bullets and brass
H4350 powder
Hornady manual
Lee case trimming tool

I am aiming to get 90% of the quality for 50-60% of the cost (the sweet spot).
It is hard to find this stuff used and it is often being sold at almost new prices ( I don't get that but someone must be buying it)

I welcome your input!

Sorry, this isn't a scale but it helps. Many years ago I was doing a lot of cast bullet shooting with a rifle and needed lots of fodder for practice. (silhouettes) I bought a very cheap LEE powder dispenser, I think it was $19? My plan was to drop just under the required load on my tray, then top it up with a trickler. I kept adjusting the LEE to get closer and closer to the load and finally, I was able to drop loads easily to within 1/2 gr under MAX and mostly very close to the charge. If I hit the arm up firm, (but not hard), tapped the side and lowered firm I was surprised at how close I could get. Also marking the side of the reservoir to keep the powder level about 3/4 full made a big difference. Nice piece of cheap kit.

For the $$ they are a good buy. I have one & it is almost as accurate as my Lyman 55 & RCBS Uniflow

I have an RCBS charge master. Works awesome. RCBS is great to deal with for warranty issues. They stand behind their name. I can't praise them enough and that's all I'll ever buy. Good luck

I have two RCBS scales. My main one a 5-10 scale. The other is a 505. I prefer the 5 10 because the balance end adjustment is a threaded device rather than a couple of tin balance weights. Been using it for a long time without any issues. It's sets up quick as well. I like it.
