Just saw some 1000 rd count ammo box of Federal AE .223 at Cambodian Tire for $ 339 (or something like that). :D

Any better deals out there ?

There hasn't been any .223 at any Canadian Tire in Québec City for many many years. Just the same old boxes... I bet some have been there for 10+ years.
 
Amazing that the US factories can supply ammo almost as cheap as the Chinese. Guess there's not much labour in the manufacture of ammo. China can't compete if all the expense is in one guy operating an expensive machine.
 
lol relaoded .223 for me is only 15cents a shot...

but the bulk AE .223 is a good deal at like 350-375$ at various vendors,

nothing cheaper till you buy norince 5.56 from canam for 500$/1600rnds

There's always a lot of boxes of 20 rounds of American Eagle Tactical .223 Rem 55gr at the Canadian Tire on the south-side in St-Romuald. Les Amants de la Nature also has some 1,000 round ammo cans of .223 Rem 55gr from Federal for $389.99... ;)
 
what I bought a bunch ~4 years ago for more then that which was good back then. and I saw it go alot higher 1-2 years later. I thought ammo had gone way up? I guess it fell way back down? (haven't bought any since). so much for my investment. I guess I'll just go shoot it instead!
 
I just started reloading and localy sourced "not-bought-in-bulk" components i'm at $0.29 a round, my ammo can of bulk works out $0.42 a round (both prices are after tax)
I chose the .223 cause of how cheap it was and I never planned on reloading, I decided I needed a hobby at home and picked up reloading so I don't count my time spent at all.

I will still buy bulk ammo when I run low for regular plinking/AR15 since I only use a single stage press.

I buy it at Latulippe. They have good prices and I bought a 500rd box of AE Tactical .223 when their ammo was 20% off. I still have it, stashed in a CF 5.56 ammo can.

Buy it cheap, stack it deep.

I'll have to take a look at Les amants de la nature tho, been a while since I've been there, last time they were moving or something.
 
I called Latulippe last week and they didn't have anything other than the 20 round boxes of AE. :(

I'd love to be able to buy a lot of .223 in bulk here. With the shipping charges of buying the ammo online it ends up costing pretty much the same as if we buy it in stores.

Whole sale sports has it for 379 I do believe is what I was told. 20 bucks cheaper than most places!
