Best price for glock G17

Ok, I've completed my research and made my purchase. Here are my notes for those that are interested.. YMMV

The winner was Wolverine, $620 + 30 s/h and $45 for mags. Responded to my email request very quickly. In fact we exchanged emails a couple of times while the others never replied at all. Great customer service as usual, this is the third or fourth order that i have placed with this folks although i research cost before each one ;) What can i say, i'm frugal.

canadaammo $639 incl s/h but since i have to pay provisional tax the cost was around $715. Also i called and was asked to send an email requesting if they had the adjustable sight and mags available.. i did not receive a reply.

wholesale sports $629.99 aprox $20 for s/h. They didn't have it in there main warehouse and it would take a month to get it from thier other warehouse. The guy on the phone didn't sound interested in making a sale. I've never been happy with their service and have tried to make a couple of purchases in the past. Including once when my order sat for a couple of weeks, i called and they said they didn't have the item in stock and weren't sure when they would get it.. Waste of time.

Ellwood Epps Sporting Goods - Sold out.

mdcharlton $612, maybe 30 for shipping the guy on the phone wasn't sure, had mags for $40 each. But wanted $25 as a registration fee.. First time i heard about that. Also i would have had to pay provincial tax. Did not reply to email request.

The local vancouver shops, i called reliable, hunters, and Itilian. The best price was $650 from reliable, but after provencial sales tax i would still save with Wolverine. Not sure what they charged for mags.

Thanks for posting this. This is the kind of posting and data that I think really helps keep the vendors on their toes, and helps the other forum members know who is offering best prices and service, shipping etc. I am all for supporting the local store, but your point about sales tax was a good consideration, and it isn't like I need the "customer service" that stores try to sell you on when I just want them drop something in the mail and I am not paying for the salesman's time to educate me or help with choices. And great point about how some people simply didn't respond. How can you run a business like that???
