hi guys more newbie questions for all you gun nutz

ok I was looking at marstars "bul" pistols in my price range and was just wondering what the general opinion out there was on this brand name as well as the "tisas" pistols

and cheapest price in canada for a ruger 22/45 and or the best place to buy one via internet or telephone order etc. as we are sold out in Winnipeg

thanks guys

In Ontario Elwood Epps & Williams Arms have fair pricing on the 22/45. I like mine, but I find the smaller grips are uncomfortable to shoot with my long, skinny hands. Just doen't like the way it fits my hand. That's my only complaint about the gun because mine is very accurate!

Nobody I know has a "tisas" pistols yet. Personaly I've found that aluminum rails wear out faster than steel ones if your a high volume shooter. Plus the extra weight of a steel frame will allow you to reaquire your target faster. The few Bul pistols I've tried are fairly descent shooters.

For an extra $100 bucks you could pick up a STI Spartan with adjustable sights and a much nice trigger.

"...don't like the way it fits my hand..." Change the grips. Epp's can likely provide aftermarket grips too.
"...looking at Marstars "bul" pistols..." Made in Israel, not by Marstar. Does come with 2 mags, but no guarantee of parts availability should you ever need 'em.
Ditto for the Turkish made TISAS line. They do come with two mags though and Marstar's warrantee.
Epp's is listing several BNIB Ruger SS 22/45's with Weaver scope mounts(why you'd want or nee dthat is another thing. Better to have it and not need it than want/nee dit and not have it though) at $377.30.

It's a plastic gun, not a 1911. There are no after market grip panels available for any 22/45, just the slip on rubber type that do not increase the grip size. Then you have to peel off your rubber everytime you want to disassemble the gun. And all the new Rugers are drilled and tapped and come with scope bases.

As I said, the 22/45 mk111 is great gun for smaller hands and there's a lot of after markets parts available. But if you have big hands, it may not be the gun for you.

You can grind off the plastic grips, install 1911 bushings then you can use any 1911 grip that you want. Maybe people have done it.

My wife has the 9mm Bul Storm all steel frame. That thing is sweet to shoot and will not malfunction no matter what is done to it. Very accurate. Feels amazing in the hand and I have big hands. My wife's hands are much smaller and she still loves the grip. Don't know about any of the other Bul Transmark products but I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Bul Storm if I wanted a 9mm. I think most of Bul's other guns are polymer frames. Seems like Marstar has been sold out of these guns since day one though.

OK FOLKS;
Yes we have been short of BUL pistols for many months, the shipment that was due six months ago arrives at the airport today....

A soon as Canada Customs does their thing we will update our site....
