How much does the gun weigh?


I put a Limbsaver on my 8.75lb 375. It works great!

Sim's Limbsaver.

I'm not completely sure, but I think the R3 recoil pad that comes with the SPS rifle is a Sim's Limbsaver.

Pick up one of the recoil shields that you wear on your shoulder like a PAST. They make quite a difference in felt recoil, especially when shooting from the bench.

I'm still using Decelerators and like them.

Sims/R3 probably has the best felt recoil reduction. Like boomer I still like the decellerators, more specifically for a hunting firearm I like the sporting clay decellerator. The sporting clay has a firm smooth top heel that makes quick mounting way nicer than the Sims.

Nothign else I've tried combines recoil reduction and ease of quick shoulder mounting.

The R3 is a limbsaver, changing it out is not going to make any difference. Get a PAST shoulder pad and it will help reduce the recoil.
