Best red dot mount for Shadow 1?

Well I dropped the ball and didn’t add a Shadow2 O.R. To the collection in time, don’t have any plans to shoot P.O. anytime soon but might be the best division to start my son with in a few years. I had one of the first mounts to come to market a few years back(springer maybe?) that was under sized and prone to shifting, looking for something better then that for the vortex/ Burris footprint. Tell me what you’re using or have tried pros/cons,fit holding zero etc. I remember reading a post here about a smith milling shadow one slides to use the 2 optic and iron sight plates if anyone knows the name of the shop I’d consider that option too.

I would look at Black Box Customs for milling your slide. I've heard nothing but good things about their work. Hope this helps!

They wouldnt touch a Shadow slide. Plus they force you to refinish the slide. So I had Joesph Wu to do mine. Will work with Shadow 2 optic plates. He upgraded the screws for 6-40 so new plates just need a bigger hole drilled and counter sunk, and the extractor pin is slightly in a different spot. I got a plate to run Vortex Venom and RMRs.

Vortex Venom for now yaok.
Got it from DoubleTap Sports see vendors up top.
Dovetail mount that also contours slide sweet unit.
