Hi Everyone,

I currently have an Eotech XPS3-0 and find that it is not clear and blurry. I understand this is from astigmatism and just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what they use? I am looking for something to replace it and was thinking potentially another RedDot or a 1-4 or 1-6x. This is for my AR and hoping to use it mostly for close range but would be nice to use it long range.

Looking to spend under $1500

Thanks Terry

Hey Terry,

A good compromise between a red dot and what you're talking about would be either of these:

or

http://www.vortexoptics.com/category/spitfire_prism_scopes

I have the Primary Arms PAC3X and I really like how clear the glass is. The illuminated etched reticle is also nice.

Go to eye doctor get contacts that adjust the issue and that will fix the problem!

This was my solution vortex optics are now super crisp.

Also posted a thread on this awhile ago. If you use a magnifier behind the optic it will also 100% crisp the dot.

I have mild astigmatism and I just ignore the fuzz, not the best for precision work but for hitting plates of steel it's fine.
Anything with an etched reticle will be crisp. The newer 1-8 from Primary Arms looks nice for less then half your budget. They are making a platinum version that has better glass, lifetime warranty, weighs a bit more but will be a bit more then twice the cost when ever they show up in Canada....

In the end I am sending the EOTech back due to the recall. I figured it is time to find something that I don't need to do anything for :)
