Best Reloading Manual: Beginner

Modern Reloading by LEE. Not to detract from any others, but that is the most comprehensive, thorough and still readable manual for a BEGINNER reloader. Add others as needed.

The Hornady in my experience provides velocities closest to what I see in real life.

The Sierra manual is also very good especially if you are looking for less common cartridges.

The LEE manuals consist of data collected from many other sources. LEE doesn't to the best of my knowledge develop their own loads unlike other reloading equipment manufacturers such as Lyman.

Then you haven't read it. The load data in that book came from load development with Bob Hodgdon- they were shooting buddies back in the day.
 
Definitely glad I got Lee and Lyman both provide good but slightly different info on reloading in general. Lyman has more loads for S&W which is nice
 
While reading resources and reference materials are a must, I recommend anyone new to sit in for a loading session with someone experienced before they drop a dime on equipment. I've seen a lot of newbies buy some foolish stuff that the "salesperson" told them they needed.

If it helps I also plan on reloading 8mm Mauser, .303 Brit, and little bit of 7.62x39

Lee all the way! Lee is not brand or powder company specific. JMHO gOOGLE Steves pages good resource
