Best Reloading Scale

As an aside from specific brands and models of scales, the most important, and inexpensive accessory you can have for your scale is a scale check weight set. Typically scales are zeroed to "0", but the further the counter weights move from "0" the more error is introduced into the measurement of a balance beam scale. A check weight set allows you to zero the scale to the specific weight you require. Not only can you confirm that the scale is adjusted to weigh the correct weight, which may not be the same as the indicated weight, the check weights can also be used to confirm the scale's repeatability.

Very good point Boomer.

I have some RCBS check weights. I don't think at that price point they are perfect in any way. I added a plastic pan to my set up, so after trickling I can dump the pan straight into the case. I had to adjust the shot in the pan holder, so I adjusted my shot and tuned my scale according to my check weights. After my adjustments on my 5-0-5, it matches my 5-10 scale. So although my low grade RCBS check weights are not perfect, they are consistent and match my scales very close.
Before every use of my scale, I lift the beam off and blow it off with an air duster, then place it back down, zero the scale, and throw my two 20 check weighted on, if they match, i'm good to start.

H4350 is just a bit more than varget. .02 to .03g

This is interesting as my scale's beam moves when adding one kernel of H4350. So I would assume the RCBS claim of accuracy is pertaining to repeatability, not sensitivity to a single kernel of stick powder.

A Sartorius Entris with the Canadian Made Autot trickler is "the best scale" system ever made for the reloader. Period.
