My wife has a Rem 700 youth model 3006 which I would like to be able to shoot effectively.

What is my best option for extending the stock by an inch, while maintaining some sort of nice asthetic? I dont want it to look like crap.

I dont want to restock it as its her gun, I just want to be able to carry and use it on occasion.

This is the one I like best. Made by Galcogunleather- sporting acces. 511C5ADC-2503-44DD-BF72-4F11A010CA13.jpg

You could pick up a used factory 700 stock for reasonable money, bed it, then you can have your his and her .30/06.

I dont want to have to switch stocks. With the pad I can slip it on or off quickly.

Its not a colossal deal, I have my own guns. I just want to be able to use hers effectively if need be. Its first and foremost her gun.

The one in the pic is a size large and slipped on a Win super grade with the raised shadow line cheek piece. I just tried it on a Rem 700 and fits perfectly, on a Ruger American compact it was a bit loose so if the youth stock is somewhere between I would go medium. I have used it on Sharps, guide guns, shotguns and just about anything off the bench to keep my nose where it is.
It adds about 1/2" to LOP but is real easy to add a flip flop cutout inside to gain another 1/2"..

I am looking for one for my .303 that has the brass but plate, also a strap swivel that might limit options, any recommendations?

I use the Allen slip on pad on my kid's short LOP stocks to sight the rifle or test function on shotguns. As "cheap" as they are - they work well and are very soft almost comparable to Limbsavers.

I did not know which one to take for proper fit (small/medium) so I ordered both and sent one back at no cost and full refund.

I have a rubber slip on limb saver I put in my wife’s 20 gauge which works well
I have shoot skeet in the rain with it and does not get slippery when wet and fits the stock very securely without sliding around
Best part is it was cheap
