Best replacement trigger for Rem 700. Function and price

Yes the recall is on. I have replaced one trigger, have another to replace. I am wondering what peoples opinions are of the best replacement trigger with a balance of price and function. One can spend, like anything else, as much as they want. Where is the smart meeting of value and function?

For point of reference ...the replaced trigger is a Timney from Jerry at Mystic Precision.

While I do not have a Remington in my possession and having had one 1989 Vintage Rem 700 Mountain Rifle that didnt like me I have wondered what Remington 700 owners have thought about this very question.

I am actually speaking to a Remington 700 and not a cheaper SPS or the 710 models they produce today.
My conclusion would be a Timney and about 30 minutes on the bench and one should be good to go.

Of course there is always return to a service depot and let them correct the problem ....sometimes that isnt an option though.

addendum: Thank You c-fbmi for the point of clarification on the highly polished 700 action and an SPS action.
I have only looked from afar between the two and the SPS being cheaper looking (not as highly polished/finished
gave me the appearance of a lesser quality part.

I have replaced several of my Rem 700 triggers and I find Jewel to be a very good trigger and totally adjustable.......but not cheap. I have been told, but don't know for a fact that Rem uses Jewels on their 40X series of rifles.
I have several that adjust from 8 oz to about 5 lbs and one that goes from 2 oz to 2 lbs, they are very, very nice triggers, and super consistent at a given setting.

And Rob.........just for clarity, the SPS series of actions are 700 actions, unlike the 710 and others over the years. The SPS just isn't polished and finished as well as their BDL/CDL line up of actions but none the less it is still a true 700 action.

Having owned a couple of 40x rifles, I can assure you that they did not have Jewel triggers.

Have a timney 510 in mine and while I have no other replacements to compare to, I am satisfied. Best price I found was Accurate Action ( site sponsor)

2 Timneys here, as the Xmark pro's that it came with did not adjust, and had lots of wobble. After I got the replacement recall Xmark pros, they were adjustable no wobble, and would have been great if they came that way, I wouldn't have ever thought about replacements.
Timney is nvce though, no complaints here.

I like the ones I have. Never once considered replacing them with aftermarket.

Hunting rifle, an old style factory trigger that has been worked on by a good smith. Long range, precison or target rifle Jewel all the way. In between I've had good luck with Shilen, but Timney and Rifle Basix have left me feeling like I might have just thrown some money away.

Its hard to get excited about a X-Mark trigger after one broke right off on me. The design of the trigger might be fine for all I know, but when the pull breaks in half I have to bail.
