Best rifle for rimfire silouette

A C.I.L. 310 was always what I used for hunter class shooting
you can still pick them up fairly cheaply .
For those not aware they were a 64 Anschutz action, same one that Weatherby is using these days

Hey Cat!!! I am not on that other kindergarden site anymore either. Do you have a CIL 310 you would perhaps like to part with? I have a CIL (Anschutz) model 54???52???25??? Maybe but it is real small. Cant look at model # as Im at work right now. Looking for something a bit more full sized. Are the T bolts accurate?

A T-Bolt will get you started in silo shooting but if you are in earnest get a CZ. If you want to step up to the top rung get an Anschutz 1712.

there are older walther kkj's that will do the trick for well under $1000. Keep your eyes open as deals pop up. I have found two anschuz 54's msr's for under $1k as well. Ask around, look around you may be surprised at what you find. In the end, every bit of accuracy helps a lot so its worth buying the best you can.

Just be careful with weight. A lot of rifles Including the stock 54 msr won't make Hunter weight. It would suck to be left out on half the shooting.

Sorry but no- I just flipped one as a matter of fact, as well as a great Walther that would make hunter class weight as well !
I will keep an eye out however and let you know!
Your C.I.L. Is likely a 125

Yes it is!!! First thing I did when I got home this morning was go look at the model number. It shoots great. I bought it at an auction sale for $30 when I was 12 (29 years ago good grief). it is just small. I also redid the stock when I was 12. Sanded it down and added "checkering". Looks like the work of a 12 year old. My daughter is also shooting silo this year and it will fit her perfectly and work for me till I get something bigger.
