Best Rubber Boots

Most definitely X2

Pick your model, some are rated for colder climate than others. Different heights too. First pair lasted 5 years, still wear them Just picked up a new pair of Muck Wetland.

Nokian. They last forever. Great in all seasons (wool liners for cold). Some models you can add stainless studs for icy/slippery conditions.

Take a look at Cofra boots. Made in Italy, well made, durable and warm. Better priced than Dunlop's and just as good (I own both). TSC and Work Authority sell them I believe.

Don't get me wrong, I love my dunlops. One of the few boots that can take the #### kicking a day on a service rig gives em and keep going, but people wear them hunting?? Theyre great boots for a rig hand but why such a heavy steal toe boot for hunting?

Acton Pairie. i used them on heavy side and they lasted two seasons. walking everyday for two months and half on the lovely steel ground and rocks of northern quebec. they finally gave up here.

they are used a lot on the hudson bay by local hunters.

the other pair i had was also an acton called the quad but this one lasted only season.

Use boots all seasons. Had two pairs of Action Prairie, they did not last a year.

Dunlops are very good and durable. I wore my first pair at work for 8 years. I'm currently on my second pair, 5 yrs, but I only wear them now when I have to. I prefer leather boots.

I bought a pair of safety rated muck boots and find them more comfortable than the dunlops. I don't wear them at the rig as they are quite slippery? Different rubber compound in the sole I guess.

Miner was good when they were in business. I am still wearing a pair of Miner's I bought in 1980, wear them a lot in the winter. Also have a pair of Acton's from the mid 80's. Nokia were good boots, so good some one stole them. I have a pair of Sorel rubber boots that have served me well for about 15yrs. Also have several pairs of LLBean gumshoe rubber bottom leather top boots that I have worn a lot, a great boot to walk in, very light and nimble on the foot. I have well over a dozen different pairs of hunting/outdoor boots. Got them for all occasions and temp ranges. One thing I have learned over the years if you want dry feet do not rely on Goretex or the like as they are water resistant but if your walking or standing in water for any length of time you will get wet feet. I can not walk distances like I used to anymore so my present inventory will probably out last me.
