best scope for around $300

Thanks everyone!

I got a burris fullfield E1 with ballistic plex reticle, i got it for $100 with the gun I bought! Looking forward to getting it, and my gun!

If it wasnt only $100 I would have bought either the bushnell 4200 or the redfield revolution, for 280 and 220 respectively.

Nice one! The redfield is a bit overpriced for its performance though.. should be priced closer to $175. 4200 is worth its $280 though.

When you get the E1, please post pics and review it for us, there are hardly ANY reviews of that scope anywhere.

Check Cabela's to see if their Leupold VX-2 3-9x40mm Canadian is still on sale for $300.

I was looking that this scope and it is a VX-II not a VX-2....on another thread I was thankfully informed that the optical quality of the VX-II is the same as the new VX-1....making the VX-II Canadian over priced for what you get.

For sure I will review it, I found the same, there are few reviews for anything fire arms related!

I saw that as well, and was definitely a deterring factor.

And the sale has ended.

The vx-II was a good scope in its day and it still is! The Leupold Canadian also has the CDS system. I have one and it serves me well for targets and hunting. The sale is over however as previously mentioned. I had another one in my cart and by the time I got to checkout they were out of stock!

Aside from that, I would vote for a 3-9 Redfield Revolution. I have the 2-7 and love it for hunting but the 3-9 or 4-12 would be better suited to your requirements.
