Best scope for bush/compact/frontier/scout gun?

yay, picked it up from the shop today. Sweet sweet gun. The setup is exactly what I was looking for. Don't have a camera right now, so pics will have to wait a couple of days. First shots won't be down the barrel for another couple of weeks :.(
 
i just bought a frontier in 300wsm from bashaw sports in bashaw alberta for 699$ (he has another one...1-780-372-4440) couple of boxes of spammo for 29$ each
and later a leupold ier for 353$ from P+D in admonton.

Just out of curiousity, have any of you guys done any customizing or accurizing to your frontiers?

Don't know if this counts as customization.
For straight utility -not looks - I just dropped my Frontier/358 into an older 308Win "canoe paddle" or "buck rogers" style composite Ruger stock for beating around the bush bear hunting - in and out of the truck. I could even paddle the boat with it now without concern about stock damage if I had to. Paid $50 for the stock. I gained an inch of length of pull (12.5 to 13.5) and I mounted my scope over the receiver too in low mounts. The pretty lttle grey laminate stock stays home in the closet.
