Just in the process of purchasing an Accuracy International AX .338LM and am curious as to what scopes you guys are using/are the best. Cost isn't really a concern. I shoot out to 1000+ yards and am wanting to get into F class shooting.

I can second giving Jerry at Mystic Precision a call. He's great to deal with, he spent an hour on the phone with me before I even made my purchase from him.

No .338LM in F-class as far as I know.

NF seems to still be the most popular name in competition, but there's lots of great options.

NF and Schmidt and Bender are good choices, as well as US Optics. Vortex has some interesting products too. Something in the 5-25x50 or 56 range. Your choice should also depend on the type of reticle you want, eg. mildot or crosshairs and graduations. Simplest is best. Turrets should match your MOA/MRAD reticle, along with an easy-to-use parallax adjustment. Look up tiborasausrusrex and his reviews on youtube. He has produced a lot of in-depth reviews of various scopes, although he may not have reviewed the latest products put out this year and does tend to go on a bit. I'm looking for a new scope for long-range shooting myself and have been researching options for over a month. It can be very confusing however, I compare the options to my experiences with my S&B PMII and start from there. Good luck!

NF atacr
S&B
Tangent Theta my choice for my 338 Lapua improved
any good 5-25x56
for Fclass no 338 allowed

and for competion scope i prefer more magnification like 7-42 or 10-50

Having owned both TT and SB, I'd go for the TT 10/10 times. Recently was able to self spot hits at 600m using my 5-25 TT on less than 1 moa target. The glass is AMAZING.

There's nothing better than the Tangent Theta. I do love the March and S&B scopes and my older Premier is great but this TT is absolutely unbeatable. I'll take it over anything out there. The TT525P is in a higher league altogether and it resides there alone.

I'm sure TT is outstanding, and possible the best tactical scope out there, but for F class wouldn't you want more than x25? Maybe S&B 12-50 or March 5-40? I mean if cost if no object...

.338LM is fine in F-Open class (F-TR is only .223 or .308), but you have to take the brake off.......OUCH!!!!

As far as scopes:

S&B PMII 12-50
March 60x or 80x
NF 55x
If you're not in a rush, the new vortex 60x
