The dust cover mount looks stronger but at 200 is a bit steep. The side mount is cheaper and quick detach, around 125. Whats is your preference

I have a dust cover mount, used it on my CZ-858 that I sold and it was pretty awesome.
Bought it used though for cheaper, some people are selling them on the EE.

Also, POSP scope won't fit a vz-58 dust cover mount unless you like to kink your neck (with a standard stock anyway).
Side mount looks more optimal for red dot mounts, or ComBloc side mount optics.

That is the one I was looking at, just curious on durability and how high it sits. It looks like it is in a good position but not sure

Until you have one to test you will not know for sure. One post above says to high, other post says alternative is to low .. look at some pictures, will also depend on the hight of the rings on your scope or mount on your red dot. Durability for side mount is good .. solid .. it could be height modified by a skilled welder .. but adjusting to it would be cheaper :)

The mount does not come with the rail that is needed to attach it to the receiver .. seperate part .. make sure ..

it sits real good, and its a quick detach so if ever you wanna remove it and use iron sights or storage etc, its much easier and personally a better fit for the gun!

If you like chin welds when shooting your rifle get the side mount. If you like cheek welds get the dustcover rail. I have been thru all mounting options and the best one is the dustcover rail by far and it retains zero ever time you disassemble your rifle.
