I'm looking for a scope mount for my M305. I've looked at the offerings from M14.ca but I want to retain my rear sight.

The Sadlak mount looks great. Any Canadian dealers? Any other suggestions?

I have an Aim Sport mount on my norc, retains battle sights and works well plus the price is right...

I myself like the Smith 2006. If to rich for your blood you can also get the Promag copy of it for about less than half the cost but doesn't look as nice.

All the above are good- you're typically good as long as you dont cheap out.

Arms 18- Lighter than the sadlak(in comparable steel version) also lower than the sadlak. what I went with.

If you really wanna switch from irons to scope alot Id go with the basset mount. Easiest by far to remove and replace and seems to mantain zero based on m14forum.com

Another opinion is to get a mount that had the cut through the middle for iron sights (Smith, ARMS 18...) and get a good set of quick detach rings and leave the mount on. There are lots of good quality ring manufacturers that guarantee no loss of POI when installed back in the same rails from which they came out of (Larue, Warne...)

Lower the better as I am sure that you already know. Tagged for interest as I am in the same boat as you right now. I don't want to give up my sights for a scope mount.

Teapot, on some rifles. Trimming or replacing ejector coils can help on the rifles that have ejection profiles that are too vigorous.
