best scope mounts for Sako

See if you can find the older Burris DD Sako mounts. I run them on a couple different M75's with these and Burris Signature rings. I can't imagine either the ring or base slipping.

Those are my favourites. I like to mount my scopes as far forward as possible and the sloped bases give you extra room. Very strong, good mounts.

Clayton,
I have evolved over the years from Optiloks for the reasons REmbo states to Burris bases and signature rings. You are probably mounting a euro scope with a big eye piece and just about all the ones I've tried over the years bump the base. I run a Zeiss Conquest and can't use optiloks, so for me Burris is the best.

Haven't tried the Warnes or Talleys though.

Went through the same ordeal on a Tikka. The burris bases and rings work well and they are cheap :) My last older Sako had the old style rings that worked well aside from the crappy screws.

I love the new Sako Optilock ring mounts on my 338-06AI m75 Greywolf and a pr waitng for a home on another m75 project rifle. To me if its the base / rings set up...they are a soild mount too. It all I have on mt rest of my m75 rifles and a couple T3's too.
