Best shooting bullet for 300 PRC?

For whatever reason this barrel is fast and speeds have always been above book. That mild load of h1000 still has me averaging 2780fps and the validations for my ballistic app has 2820fps. Hardly slow for a 225 grain bullet and modest recoil.
Validations and corrections in the ballistic app were the same for the 212Eldx/250atip where I had to bump up the muzzle velocity

Yea a MILD load of 74 grs of H1000 with a 225 grer giving you 2780 is very Decent - You have a 24 " barrel ? RJ

My 26" HMR shot factory Hornady 225 eldm ammo 2910fps on average, so that's what I use for a velocity baseline.
My APA fat bastard brake showed up, so i'll be testing the 215 and 230 hybrids soon.

I had the factory 212 eldx blow up on a wolf with no exit wound on a close range shot. I know its a long range bullet but they advertise it as a projectile that should still work. It worked well on a whitetail buck at close range, I have switched to 210 ablr with h1000. I have good accuracy and great results on a big bodied 4 point mulie and a smaller bodied mulie. I prefer the 210 accubond over the eldx. I have 230 berger hybrids to load develope this summer, I hope my rifle likes them. If I where to use any eld bullet I would opt for the heavier option. I emailed nosler and asked if they have plans to make a 220 or bigger ablr as the 210's are so far in my experience the best all around hunting bullet, I just wish they were a little bigger. Nosler said not at this time for anything heavier than the 210 in 30 cal.

That's crazy on a wolf... I'd ditch them too.
I loaded a buddy some 165gr SST for his 300Ultra last hunt and he dropped a big buck at close range, full pass through and massive exit, blood spray on exit side extended about 15ft all over the snow, looked like crime scene lol
