There are people here who have legal ranges on their own property, and I'm sure some of these people have problems with woodchucks. I'm sure Henry is one of those lucky individuals. Either that or he'll use the 180B on woodchucks, and the AR 15 at the range.

A BDC reticle graduated to 600 yards with zero magnification. Without a magnifier, first round hits are questionable, not to mention unethical when discussing predator/varmint control.

Ian is right: woodchucks with the 180B and the AR on the range. I have used my 700 BDL in 7.08 handloaded with 100 gr Hornady for shots of up to 700 paces (witnessed!). I had used (when it was legal) my Styer AUG for shots up to 200 or paces. The AUG would shoot a good group just about with any ammo within a 3 inch circle. My H-Bar would only digest certain loads and the groups could wander 6 to 7 inches from each load!

For now, I will use a Trijion and perhaps a Burris Tactical scope.
