Best Single-Stage Press - Opinions?

The Lee Classic Cast is a very sturdy and well made press.
For a turret one, I'd go with the Lee Classic Turret. One of my friends has one and it works very well. He's using it as a single stage (without the actuator) and likes the fact that he can keep his dies all set on a separate turret for each caliber.
Price is also very good.

I don't know what the "best" single stage press is but I just recently added a Rockchucker Supreme to my bench. While I have Dillons, this is a delight to use for rifle. I'd recommend it but not over others as I haven't tried them. There is a lot of support for the major presses in this thread. My comfort and confidence levels are very high when using the Rockchucker Supreme.

over 30 years on a RCBS jr no prob. A rockchucker would be my first choice.I have a dillan550 and somewhere I have a C&H and a lyman?. Lots of good used deals. Saw a new rockchucker sell at Calgary gun show for $100 with acc.

I have a Forster Co-Ax press, and three Herters Super Model 3 presses.

The Forster press is nice, but the Herters are very strong (they will easily swage bullets) and they has minimal play in the ram.

I bought them after seeing a friend's set-up in the U.S.

He has; an RCBS Rockchucker and Junior, about 7 Star presses, a Dillon 550, 650, and 1000 (now discontinued.)

For reloading rifle ammunition and being finicky with the cases, he recommended the Forster and Herters presses to me.

After seeing them in action, I agreed.

If I get a progressive, it will be a Dillon 650.

If I will start again I would go with Forster Co-Ax press or Redding Big Boss.
IMO, quality is superb on both of them.
As for now for single stage operation I use RChucker and Arbor press.

I was not aware of the Forster Co-Ax at all, nor the Redding. Both look very impressive. Thank you to everyone who has offered opinion and/or advice. I am building up my reloading bench very slowly (limited funds), and the knowledge and experience of others sure helps to prevent expensive mistakes. That's what I'm finding so great about CGN - if you need to do it, chances are someone already has. :dancingbanana:

Just have to keep watching the EE and the gun shows....
