Best SKS setup ever !!! UPDATED !!!

I just ordered a ventilated hand guard from RedBird gunparts. SKSman didn't have any.
I'm going to wait for Dilligafs range report before I order the sights. We are getting one aren't we ????

Will try to hit up the range this weekend for you guys... N.S got hit with crappy weather last Saterday...

Hopefully this weekend will be nice... But its not looking to good so far.

Great sights and nice set up. I'm planning on buying another Tula SKS to trurn into a back up/occasional deer rifle. This sight set up would work very nice on deer in thick bush where 100 yds is the max. and 40 yds the norm.

here is the results with surplus ammo... My 100 yard group was 4 inch... Not worth the picture... Just got my 2 inch butt extention. So next time I go out I will try harder at 100y...

I notice you got "freehand" on the target paper at 50yds ... maybe try it on a rest. I bet that would tighten it up a bit. I got the same sights for mine as well. A TS200 with Aperture kit with all 3 apertures. For a front sight I a have the Williams, but I think I will try the Target Post from TS that I got off a gent on the EE. I am just waiting on my SKS to arrive from Barret at Armo-Coat to finish my rifle to slap it all together.

I cant shoot on a rest, dont know why but I cant... Just one of those things I never can get used to doing.

The williams fire sight font post is to big for 100yard... made my paper taget dissapear....But I do like the red glow, helps my eyes focus way better...

Will try to get 1 inch @ 50y this weekend with some comercial ammo if I can find some... And try my 100y again,,,

Check out the target post on TS website. I got one of them and they are "skinny" compared to the OEM post on an SKS. They don't glow but they also won't hide the target at longer ranges. I personally am going to install the Williams Firesite, I use my SKS for hunting moose and when you got a target the size of an oven door ... it'll work just fine ;)

BTW .. nice rifle, mine will end up looking just like it .. lol

I allready have that skinny post ... lol... Just like the Williams Firesite post better... I had the williams front sight for about 5 rounds then I ripped it off and trew it as far as I could...

I will just get some bigger targets as well for 100y... Im so cheap I rather print them off...

Just be warned that the fiber optic in the Williams may come off. I have one installed on my the "mall ninja" SKS I had and after about 40rds it came flying out. Had a helluva time on my hands and knees looking for it. A dab of superglue will keep it in or prevent it from coming out.

I'm in the process of getting an SKS. I like the custom sights you put on yours. It still looks pretty much like the traditional one with more accuracy.

Thx
