I wonder how bad the steel cored 762 rounds will crater/put holes in that aluminum. That'll be interesting to see

didn't even punch through it.....
I tried something similar years ago, the steel core in the czech x39 ammo is just about as soft as lead, wouldn't punch through 3/8" mild steel at 100m.
Now the core in those silver tip x54r rounds was a different story....

Nice looking SKS Dilligaf! I went with the tritium front sight from SKSMan, he only has a few, but they're kick-ass! I like the steel ventilated hand guards, was there any modification work needed to swap them for the wooden ones?

That is a nice looking gun, and the mods improved its function at low cost. "Looks" are subjective, accuracy is not. I'd work on the trigger next, and consider handloads after that.

P.S. I'm surprised it didn't cut right through that 1" aluminum.

When you say a buffer, did you get it from sksman instead of techsights?

Got it from Tech sights

On a sidenote do you suggest the TS200 or would the TS100 be fine?

I have fixed front sight so I had no choice to get the TS200

Well the hand gaurd comes with a cheap pin and some sort of spacer. I junked all of that and just Tac welded it in place. this way it dosent rattle anymore.

I'd work on the trigger next.

I put in an order for some wolf springs last week :)

the SkS ringings the gong it is so much more fun than paper!

Is it ever... we had 2 sks hitting that target at the same time... way to much fund... spent way to much ammo...

wow that plate looks awesome man! i like how all the bases of the bullets are showing and intact! what was the hardness of that plate?

I was told that is was 7075 Aluminium

But the fact that it weighs in close to 30 pounds, and its not a fixed target, will affect how the bullet will travel thru it...

Every hit the plate moves back about a foot...

Will make a video next time I hit the range
