i got mine at princess auto for under 20 bucks and its amazing for the price.... 23x fixed zoom and even came with a tri-pod

I just picked up a Bushnell Elite in 20-60x80mm and am quite impressed with it. It obviously isn't as good in low light as a Swarovski but it does the trick.

The ratings at the link below may be of interest. The Bushnell Elite 20-60x80 at about $900 may be hard to beat. It is made in Japan. Also the Bushnell Legend made in China with essentially the same specs is about half that price.

Konus Konuspot 20-60x80mm Spotting Scope. I bought mine at opticsplanet $460 delivered to AB. I'm looking at Camera land as I type. They don't seem to carry it.
This spotting scope is awesome. you can see 308 hits on steel out to 1500 yards. You can see 338 hits on steel to a mile.
It requires a solid heavy tripod. It comes with a camera adapter. Its big but its clear.

hi sheep hunter how would you compare the nikon xl 2 to the bushnell elite 15 to 45 x 60 i had one of those ,it was okay ,but it didn,t seem that bright.i have some monarch binos they are brighter than the elite binos

I've had both and I prefered the Nikon.

I have the 20-60X80 Elite it is a good scope. The optics are extremely clear!!! up to 45X. Above that there is a noticeable drop in image quality, but the quality is still quite good. My main gripe with this spotter is the poor eye relief. The relief is not good on anything above 40X. It literally feels like you need to stick your eyeball up to the lens to see the entire field of view at 60X power..
