just placed my order for m14 goodies on brownells but they took off my sadlak spring guide as they arent available for export. I cant see where to buy one up here but do see a couple other options. So I ask you good people...

wut one is best and which should I buy?

SFRC, OneShotTactical, TSE have them in their inventory. Check out their sites or phone them. I've used all of their gear! Not a problem with the existing factory Norc op rod spring. The Sadlak unit that Brownells removed from your order woulda required you to use an American spring (USGI or Wolfe).

The 3 dealers above sell the canadian made (yahoooo) op rod spring guides! And yes, the fit the Zhinese springs! :D

Cheers,
Barney

thanks barney!

Funny thing is they removed my spring guide and didnt remove the american david tubb spring that I ordered as well. Perhaps there was a way for me to change the order not sure- prolly hold out for armtacs shipment

Gunewb, I have the Black Arrow ORSG in stock, shipping same day.

There is a Utube video of some fella testing a Sadlak piston and (at least for him) there did appear an improvement in groups- however Sadlak are out of stock at the moment....

This is has been brought up recently. It's fluted to reduce weight, and so your #### doesn't fall off.

I have a M14.ca Spring guide with the Tubbs spring and see no issue using a US spring in the metric spring guide. There's only really an issue with fit if you go the other way.

thanks.....E-evil.

how bout the piston? anything wrong with the norinco one?
It all depends...
If it drops like a rock then yes time for a different one. Although becareful as some USGI pistons will fit in some Nork gas systems but they were not ment to do so. So really it's a hit and miss.

If your worried about a few oz of weight that the fluting will take off, you might want to think about carrying a different rifle.
I've got one made by S+J Hardware and it works flawlessly...non-fluted

learned a good bit thanks folks.

Yeah my cylinder is actually pretty off center. Its funny because I saw a photo of a bad one on here and went eeewwh. then I received my rifle, took a look.....eewh.

She doesnt drop like a rock though thats good to know!
