Best Stock to Shorten?(Turn into a folder)

Howdy all.Playing with the idea of building a Laz2000 folder.Which stock would be the best to use? Wood or fiberglass or maybe a good way to put the chue wood to good use.All ideas and ramblings appreciated.Thanks
 
Holding up pretty good...splint off, staples out, major scar on one side, hoping chicks will dig it...

Haven't tried to get a boot on yet, there's a big plate holding one side together and what looked like half a dozen 2 inch drywall screws rammed all through the thing, ankle's a lot wider than it used to be...

If my expensive boots don't fit anymore there will be hell to pay I can tell you that!
 
there is a LOT of labot that goes into one of these ... IMHO you don't want to waste it on a Chinese stock.

USGI wood is the easiest to connect to.

USGI is more work [ you have to dremel out all the soft foam and refill with Epopxy and wire ] but it comes out much better

I'll bring mine to the next Wet Coast 14 group grope so everyone can FEEL the balance
[the FEEL is after all, much more important than the looks ... right? ]

Thanks Laz.I was able to fondle (what a scary word) your folder at the CHWK show.Liked it.Thanks for your info. What about the BM-59 folder, will it fit?
 
well...... i have a ak yugo complete pistol gripped underfolder stock assembly.....and ..... i'm just tinkerin with it.... and it will clear the mag..... :dancingbanana: :dancingbanana: new project time :runaway: :runaway:
