Best Sub 500$ Scope , With turrets .

Where to start I have read all of your replys and this is what i gathered..

I can only find the C4 here its the 4.5X - 14X 42mm (1") not the 30mm. 399.99 , I know nothing of the quality of these scopes as of yet. they seem new to market.

I can likely get the Bushnell ET5154 5-15x40 Matte Mil Dot, FMC, Argon, AO, Sunshade $532.00 at P&D in Edmonton where i bought the rifle a few weeks ago.

The Sightron fixed 10X Siii BNIB $550 on the EE here looks like a ok scope but im not sure i want to put trust in the EE on a scope that's only about 70$ off buying it right from mysticprecision and shipping ontop of that price. - so save like 35$ by the time its all done mystic has really good shipping prices (15$ flat rate ) at least they did on my brass
Maybe if this guy dropped his price more it might be more enticing or included shipping in his sale.

I know nothing of Millet scopes, I see them listed on P&D but no prices or anything anyone have a line on those?.

I thank you for your input on the zeiss terra 3-9 but it seems more of a hunting scope than a target scope , Something i would love to have on one of my hunting rifles but not suiting what i'm intending to do with this m14 most of the time.

Added: I really do wonder however how the Redfield Battlezone 6-18x44mm Matte TAC-MOA compairs with the bushnell ET5154 5-15x40 listed above , or other scopes in this pricerange of under 500$ for that matter..

Leonard, you could always make buddy an offer on the $550 plus shipping sightron and if the warranties are now transferable which I believe Mystic has stated then what have you got to loose as far as "trusting the new in the box scope"?
I'm also pretty sure that buddy won't charge you as much tax as Jerry so your math is skeptical at best.... :)

You may be right candown , I've bought lots of used stuff in the past though , Not so much for Firearms.

my other concern for that scope is 10X fixed.
If i ever decided to hunt with it shots under 100m would likely be a bit of a issue something like 6x or 5x or even 4.5 x would be doable though.

On the other side of that argument sightron seems to be good glass and a fixed 10 seems to be highly praised by many for target shooting.

Lol picking a good scope out may be more involved than picking the rifle in the first place :p

It's nice to crank up and down a variable scope at times that's for sure. The latest generation of scopes offers some impressive variable scopes that's for sure.
Good luck!

Just found that Bushnell 5-15x40mm Bushnell Elite Tactical @ Sale Price: $422.99 local - edmonton.
Likely ill phone in the morning see if they have it and see if they will hold one if they do.

Likely i wouldn't touch the variable unless hunting if i even use this rifle ever for that purpose but it can be nice to keep those options open right. 5x at shorter ranges is manageable. although a 10 or 15X would have been fine at the range i took my buck this year it may also have been easier to see which of the 4 bucks in the field had the best rack , even though i think i got the right one lol another 5x would have been nice over my 9x50mm bushnell elite.

You have me second guessing my initial instincts now though haha, Perhaps a 10x fixed such as that sightron would work I haven't seen a whole lot of reviews on sightron however but I've read a lot about people preferring fixed 10's in general.
I decided to take until monday to weigh my options a little more.

Too bad we cant get SWFA scopes they seem to be a perfect combination of everything i need for this rifle, "durability to withstand semiauto recoil" , Good optics at reasonable 300-500$ range prices , Great reviews.

same as most of their fine cross hairs on Bushnell's like you see on the mill dotted Elite 4200/3200's and similar to whats on my older(2008) Bushnell Legend HD 4.5x14x44 on my .243 rifle.

its not a bad reticle. although i do think if the dots were rings with hollow centers so you can see targets in them it would be a little better.

I saw a scope recently i cant remember the brand but they used Diamonds with hollow centers in them and that looked super handy when they were showing it at long distances as you could see the target inside it.

What i cant understand is why i always seem to end up buying Bushnell's ? what the heck lol. I specifically went into this task thinking I would not buy Leopold and try and find something better than a Bushnell.

But it seems every year the Bushnell's improve at a decent price point so i end up that route again haha.

this is what I got on my rem 750 for moose hunting amazing for the price I got it from wolverine
Hi-Lux A.T.R. Top Angle Professional Series 4-16x50 with MilDot Reticle.

Zeiss Terra is the best sub $500 scope IMO. Great glass and made in Japan. Leopold and Bushnell Elite are good choices too.
