Best Tactical Non-restricted .308 to buy? Help!

Tactical what? You can have a "tactical" looking lever action these days. Drop the tactical nonsense and describe what you are looking for i.e. bolt-action, semi auto, price range, reliability, etc.

Now for your question , if you wana spend over 2k check out the XCR-M , Wolverine Supply sells them.. If you wana spend less than 1k check out the Norinco M-14 , they can also be upgraded with US made parts if you want a project . but often they come fine out of box .

The reason people are making the comments they do is because questions like this are asked on almost a daily basis. The OP gives no insight as to what he wants to do with his 'tactical' rifle. No budget. No details. Just the 'best' non-restricted tactical gun.

Tidied up the thread.

I agree that this "tactical" business is overblown to the point of being silly.

How about just answering the question?

Wait for the Swiss Arms SAPR or Famae 542. M1A in a Sage/Troy chassis is another option. Robarms have lost their charm on me. FN makes a 308 as well, I think I saw one in the EE. The RFB is another option that, depending on who you ask, is well worth it or is overpriced.

OP dont let the "tactical" bashing scare you away from coming back in on your own thread. Like people mentioned post up some clearly defined criteria and I know you will get good answers. The word "tactical" just gets everyone going because it is used on pretty much everything now adays.

and just because I love this picture im going to "tactically" place it in this thread
