Best top folding stock for an 870

Folding stocks are lame, really lame. But if I had to own one it would be a remington leo one.

They serve their purpose. I purchased the ATI because in the folded position it fits very nicely into the sleeve on the side of my pack. Undo one velcro buckle and it is out and ready. It makes it super compact and is very functional.

Having owned both I would have to say the Remington, the ATI serves the purpose and isn't expensive, but the remmy was made in a time when things were just made better. Stay away from the Knoxx Specops folder, never sits right on the shoulder, awkward and clumsy.

There is an OEM Remington stock in the EE.

I have a Rem top folder on my 870 and I thought it would suck for shooting clays but I've had no probs with it at all.

I used to have one of thoses Remington LEO metal stock. If you are to buy a top folding stock, buy this one and no other.

The main thing I didn't like about the ATI is that it doesn't fill the hand, grip needs to be fatter.

I wish they would make more good quality over-folders. My brother is interested in an 870 with an over-folder stock.

remington factory the only way to go. they are rock solid, all steel except the grip. I was short one month and had to sell mine though

There are not good top folders, shoot any of them once with a slug and you will understand.
